Erika worked at Estetica from 2016 to 2020, under the original owners. The spa played an important role in her early career as an esthetician. As a way of giving back to the clients and community from that chapter of her career, she's extending this independent Hideaway courtesy.

- One Estetica gift card may be applied toward this courtesy per visit, using one of the three options above — the verified credit, the unverified discount, or the simple wax swap. Options cannot be combined on the same card.
- Maximum $150 service value / $150 service credit per visit (verified and unverified options).
- Service credit and discounts have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash or change, and any unused portion is forfeited.
- Excludes retail products.
- The physical Estetica gift card must be presented in person at your appointment for redemption under any of the three options. A photo can be sent ahead of time to help us pre-screen or speed up booking, but it does not substitute for having the card in hand.
- If your gift certificate was digital only (issued by email or code, with no physical card), a copy showing a unique code or number can be logged as redeemed and treated the same as a physical card. If the certificate has no unique identifier at all (a generic email or document with nothing to distinguish it from a copy), it will be treated as an unverified balance instead, since there's no way to confirm it hasn't already been used elsewhere.
- We have no way to know how Estetica's own gift card or account systems were set up, or whether a given card or code was meant to be tied to one person. We're simply tracking what's been redeemed here at Hideaway Spa and applying this courtesy at our discretion.
- For the verified-balance option, a receipt, purchase confirmation, or other confirmable proof of balance may be accepted at our discretion.
- To ensure the courtesy is applied only once, the card will be marked, clipped, or collected by Hideaway Spa at the time of redemption.
- Advance booking is required — please mention this offer when booking. Hideaway Spa does not accept walk-ins; all services, including this offer, are by appointment only.

- Hideaway Spa reserves the right to reasonably verify remaining balances and to decline any card that appears altered, duplicated, or previously redeemed under this offer.

- Bring your physical Estetica gift card to your appointment. If you're claiming a verified balance, bring along any proof of the card's value, if you have it.

Is Estetica Day Spa permanently closed?
Yes. Estetica Day Spa in Tecumseh has closed. Hideaway Spa was not affiliated with Estetica — Erika worked there as an employee from 2016 to 2020, under the original ownership.
Can I get a refund for my Estetica gift card?
Hideaway Spa is not able to issue refunds for Estetica gift cards, as we have no affiliation with or obligation related to Estetica. What we can offer is an independent courtesy toward services at Hideaway Spa, described above, for former Estetica gift card holders.
What if I no longer have my Estetica gift card, or only have a photo of it?
If your card was a physical card, we need it in hand to redeem this courtesy — a photo alone isn't enough, since these can easily be shared or reused by someone else. (If your gift certificate was digital only and never had a physical card, see the question below — that's handled differently.)
Is Hideaway Spa taking over for Estetica Day Spa?
No. Hideaway Spa is an entirely separate, independent business. This offer is a personal courtesy from Erika, based on her past employment at Estetica, and is not connected to Estetica's ownership, its closure, or any new business at that location in any way.
What counts as proof of my gift card balance?
A receipt, purchase confirmation, or other proof showing the card's balance may be accepted at our discretion. Note that a photo of the card itself doesn't tell us the balance or that the card is yours — so it's not treated as sufficient proof on its own. You'll still need the physical card with you at your appointment either way.
What if my balance can't be verified?
That's fine — you can still use the unverified-balance version of this courtesy: 70% off eligible services, up to $150 in service value ($105 in savings). You'll just need to bring the physical card to your appointment.
What's the simplest way to use my gift card if I don't want to deal with verification?
Trade it in for one Brazilian wax, regardless of the card's balance — no proof or verification required, just bring the card. This is a great option if your balance was small, hard to document, or you just want the easiest path in the door. It's an alternative to the credit and discount options above, not an addition to them — you'll choose one option per card.
What if I never had a physical card — mine was a digital gift certificate?
If your certificate has a unique code or number, bring a copy of it — we'll log that code as redeemed, the same way we'd track a physical card, so it can't be used again. If it's a generic email or document with no distinguishing code, we won't be able to confirm it hasn't already been used elsewhere, so it'll fall under the unverified-balance option instead: 70% off eligible services, up to $150 in service value. We don't know how Estetica's system was set up, so we're applying this at our discretion based on what can actually be tracked.
Can I combine multiple gift cards, or use this more than once?
One Estetica gift card can be applied per visit. If you're holding more than one card, you're welcome to book multiple appointments before October 31 and apply a different card each time.
A note from Erika: Hideaway Spa is a private, single-operator studio — it's just me. This offer comes from genuine respect for clients I may have served myself years ago at Estetica, and I want to do right by as many of you as I can. But because I'm one person with limited appointment availability, I've had to keep this offer within the limits outlined above, so I can actually honour it well rather than promise more than I can deliver.
